How to Shower like 007

How to shower like 007

A couple of weeks ago something horrible happened. Something that, in the UK in April, is likely to ruin your day, week and maybe month. MY BOILER BROKE.

Now, I appreciate that I’m somewhat of a wimp, but me and the cold just don’t get on. And, more specifically, me and cold showers certainly don’t get on.

But it got me thinking about cold exposure and its benefits. It’s something I haven’t experimented a whole lot with myself (again, due to being a total wimp) but, if you can hack it, exposing your body to temperatures outside of what would ordinarily be the norm can be very beneficial.

Powerful Greens

Spirulina blog post

About 2 years ago I was given a big bag of dark green powder from a client of mine. She’d been into Holland & Barratt and spent a fortune on dozens of healthy goodies for herself but decided to treat me too. Her gift was a bag of something called spirulina, which is to be the subject of this blog post.
Now, many readers will have heard of, and perhaps even tried, spirulina in the past. You may have come across the claims of its health benefits which I’m going to flesh out a bit today.
Spirulina is a form of blue-green algae. Yes, I know it sounds gross but please read on. The people in the know claim that this was the first form of plant life on earth and it has an UNBELIEVEABLE nutritional profile.

Eat That Frog

Yes, when I first came across those 3 words together in one sentence I was also intrigued. Well, now I have your attention I’ll explain myself...
What I’m NOT about to do in this post is preach about the nutritional benefits –of which I’m sure there are many- of consuming frogs. Eat That Frog is actually the title of a book that I read last summer. Again, not a French cookbook, but in fact a really interesting non-fiction piece on the subject of productivity.

A Little Bathroom Therapy

A Little Bathroom Therapy Post

Last week I was reminded of something I learned about probably 5 years ago when I took a home study Clinical Nutrition course. If I’m totally honest, the course on the whole was pretty diabolical, but there were a few interesting takeaways – one of which I’d like to talk about today.
